About the Role
Are you organized, adaptable logistics professional who thrives in dynamic supply chain environments? We are looking for a Transport Planner to take ownership of our daily end-to-end transport operations. In this role, you will bridge Post-Carriage Upstream and Last-Mile transport, optimizing routing, coordinating custom clearances and managing carrier relationships. Your primary focus will be ensuring our shipments are delivered efficiently, on time, securely and sustainably while keeping overcosts to a minimum.
Key Responsibilities
1. Daily Transport Execution & Operational Monitoring
- Shipment Tracking & Delay Management: Proactively track transport dates (ETA/ETD, shipping and delivery promises) across all modes to resolve potential delays before they impact customers.
- Warehouse & Arrival Scheduling: Align transport schedules with warehouse reception management to optimize unloading capacity.
- Resource & Equipment Coordination: Coordinate specialized equipment requests, including barge scheduling and chassis recovery, to meet fluctuating volume needs.
- Operational Agility: Manage urgent transport rescheduling and cancellations prior to cut-off times to avoid financial penalties and ensure uninterrupted supply.
2. Performance Optimization & Financial Efficiency
- Carrier Selection & Load Maximization: Make strategic daily carrier choices to maximize vehicle filling rates and minimize operational overcosts.
- Cost & Waster Reduction: Analyze daily containers fees, detention/waiting hours and operational risk points to identify and remove chain waste.
- Data Management & System Visibility: Maintain accurate, up-to-date tracking tools and databased to maintain total visibility across stakeholders.
- Root Cause & Performance Analysis: Conduct weekly retrospective evaluations on transport lead times and service quality to drive corrective action and continuous improvement.
- Sustainable Routing: Optimize daily transit routes and carrier selection to lower carbon emissions and support our transport sustainability goals.
Profile
- Background: At least 1 year working experience related to Retail Operations.
- Education: Undergraduate Degree in International Business, Trade, or ay related Logistic studies.
- Languages: Proficiency in English
- Thrives under changing operational demands and fast-paced daily schedules.
- Outstanding time-management skills with high attention to compliance details.
- Ability to build strong relationship across internal departments and external partners.
- Effective problem-solver capable of quick decision-making under tight deadlines.
