Mission

Support the IT team in delivering reliable and efficient IT services to end users through timely support, deployment activities, end-device maintenance, asset management, documentation, and other operational activities. The IT Intern will gain practical experience in IT support and operations while contributing to the team's service quality, asset visibility, device compliance, and deployment activities.

Ensure the quality of SLAs:

Follow procedures and service level good practices to manage support requests and incidents in a timely and effective manner.

  • Be aware of, respect and execute the service level agreement (SLA) rules.

  • Recognize, track and resolve SLAs quickly.

  • Escalate tickets to the appropriate support team when the issue is outside the intern's scope.

  • Maintain accurate ticket information, including troubleshooting steps, actions taken, and resolution status.

  • Follow up on assigned tickets until resolution.

  • Ensure tickets are properly updated and closed according to process.

  • Apply ITIL best practices

Deployment & End-Device Management:

Actively participates with the installation, configuration, testing, deployment, and maintenance of IT devices and applications.

  • Assist with deployment of laptops, desktops, applications, peripherals, and other IT equipment.

  • Perform installation and configuration activities according to established procedures.

  • Ensure assigned deployment activities are completed within the agreed timeline.

  • Assist in troubleshooting technical issues encountered during deployment.

  • Assist with maintaining records of deployed devices and configurations.

  • Support end-device update, patching, and maintenance activities.

IT Asset & Inventory Management:

Contributes in tracking, maintaining, and updating IT asset records to ensure accurate asset visibility.

  • Assist in tracing and identifying IT assets. 

  • Maintain accurate asset information in the relevant asset management system or records. 

  • Assist with asset tagging and verification. 

  • Perform physical asset checks when required. 

Knowledge & Documentation Management:

Maintain accurate SOPs, technical documentation, user guides, and support knowledge to improve team efficiency.

  • Assist in maintaining IT SOPs and technical documentation.

  • Update documentation when processes or configurations change.

  • Assist in creating simple user guides and troubleshooting guides. 

  • Document recurring issues and their solutions. 

  • Record relevant troubleshooting steps and resolutions in knowledge repositories. 

  • Ensure documentation is clear, accurate, and easy for other team members to use. 

IT Asset Disposal & E-Waste 

Assist with the proper identification, documentation, and disposal of IT assets and e-waste according to company procedures. 

  • Assist with the identification of IT assets for disposal. 

  • Assist in preparing assets for disposal according to company procedures. 

  • Verify asset information before disposal. 

  • Ensure asset records are updated following disposal. 

Ad-hoc IT Operations Support 

Support the IT team with additional operational tasks and projects as required to ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations. 

  • Assist the IT team with ad-hoc operational activities. 

  • Provide support during IT projects and activities when required. 

  • Assist with troubleshooting and technical investigations. 

  • Participate in activities required to maintain smooth day-to-day IT operation.

Profile

Technical Skills:
  • Hardware Troubleshooting
  • Operating Systems (Windows, Linux, or proprietary embedded systems)
  • Scripting and Automation (e.g., in PowerShell, Macro, Apps Script & AppSheet)
  • Knowledge of CISCO Meraki/SDWAN and CCNA certification will be advantageous.
Operational Skills:
