About the Role

Are you looking to drive efficiency, reliability, and innovation in a fast-paced retail IT environment? We are seeking an IT Operations Engineer to contribute to maintaining the reliability, security, and efficiency of our IT systems. In this role, you will support critical operational functions by managing complex IT infrastructures, continually seeking to improve services, and ensuring the highest levels of user satisfaction and system availability.

From managing day-to-day hardware and network infrastructure to supporting retail store expansions, you will be the go-to technical resource ensuring seamless business operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • 1. Infrastructure & Lifecycle Management: Manage and maintain IT infrastructure (networks, servers, end-user systems), evaluate equipment needs, and proactively handle the equipment lifecycle to prevent breakdowns.

  • 2. Incident Resolution & Support: Provide swift technical support for hardware, software, and network issues. Direct on-site IT setups for store openings, regional deployments, and expansion projects.

  • 3. Risk Prevention & Security: Proactively maintain network safety, plan preventive site visits, analyze security anomalies, and resolve urgent technical emergencies.

  • 4. Knowledge Management: Document IT operations, publish high-quality design resources and internal wikis, and share best practices to boost team autonomy.

  • 5. Continuous Improvement: Proactively analyze data to build automated dashboards, optimize system stability, and participate in team mentoring and recruitment.

    Profile

    Required Skills
    • Networking: Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN) and hands-on experience with routers, switches, and firewalls.

    • Systems & Troubleshooting: Familiarity with Windows OS, basic server management, and hardware/software troubleshooting.

    • Software & Tools: Experience with system monitoring tools. Proficiency in Google Workspace alongside strong Microsoft Excel skills (data analysis, reporting, and formulas).

    • Core Traits: Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and maintain a data-driven mindset.


    Preferred Skills
    • Experience in retail IT environments.

    • Exposure to SD-WAN technologies (Cisco Meraki is a plus).

    • Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Batch, PowerShell) and familiarity with ITIL processes.


    Critical Requirement
    • Flexibility: A strong willingness and ability to work outside standard hours when required (e.g., during store openings, deployments, or critical incidents) is essential.
