Mission

Based in Malaysia, the E-commerce Category Manager (MYSG) is responsible for driving the growth and performance of an assigned product category across both the Malaysia and Singapore markets, specifically focusing on our websites and mobile apps. By deeply understanding the regional online shopper, this role will own, execute, and optimize the end-to-end customer journey and user experience to maximize category visibility, increase engagement, and aggressively drive sales growth across both countries.

Key Responsibilities

Core Mission: As an E-commerce Category Manager, you will fully own the day-to-day execution and "A to Z" business performance for your allocated sports categories across the Decathlon Malaysia & Singapore websites and mobile apps. Your mission is to hands-on implement commercial strategies and build an outstanding user experience, analyzing traffic and behavior data to aggressively drive sales growth.

Digital Sales & Strategy

  • Execute planned, data-driven commercial initiatives on the websites and mobile apps to achieve sales and margin targets for assigned categories.

  • Analyze regional market trends and customer behavior to develop and implement digital category strategies aligned with country-level commercial goals for Malaysia and Singapore.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and leverage web analytics to plan, propose and actively implement changes for continuous growth.

Product Discovery & Shopping Experience (Core Focus)

  • Own and continuously improve the hands-on on-platform customer experience (CX), ensuring seamless navigation, strong visual merchandising, and intuitive discovery for your categories.

  • Collaborate with design and UX teams to build, configure, and optimize layouts across the homepage, category pages, landing pages, search result pages, and product pages based on user data.

  • Continuously monitor, test, and improve conversion rates and the overall online customer journey.

  • Define, update, and manage product segmentation and tags for marketing, merchandising, and sales initiatives based on seasonality and product attributes.

Content & SEO

  • Produce and upload content strategies that offer complete, accessible sports solutions to enhance product discoverability and customer onboarding.

  • Manually optimize digital pages for SEO (meta-tags, keywords, copy updates) to improve organic visibility and traffic acquisition.

Availability & Operations

  • Drive and execute seasonal product availability planning across Decathlon’s websites and mobile apps, ensuring timely online launches by coordinating closely with operations and supply chain teams.

Profile

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, E-commerce, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in e-commerce, digital merchandising, or online category management.

  • Direct experience managing, configuring, and optimizing proprietary e-commerce platforms (brand.com and mobile apps) is preferred.

  • Strong proficiency in product analytics tools, specifically Amplitude (or similar platforms like GA4) to analyze user behavior, conversion funnels, and drop-offs.

  • Familiarity with generative AI tools, specifically Gemini, to rapidly scale and execute e-commerce copywriting, SEO metadata generation, and product descriptions.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets for commercial data analysis.

  • Proven track record of high-velocity execution with a solid understanding of digital sales funnels, consumer behavior, and on-site user journeys.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail.

  • A proactive, action-oriented self-starter capable of working independently and managing cross-border (MY/SG) market dynamics in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
